laser power meter, photobiomodulation, red light therapy, solar power meter -

In a previous blog post we uncovered a massive deception in the red light therapy industry, that we can easily find that many manufacturers are using a cheap solar power meter to report their intensity, yet they tend to read falsely high by over 2x! We can even find discrepancies from independent reviewers such as Alex Fergus. He used a spectrometer to measure intensity from many of the major brands at 6 inches. Even with his spectrometer, he found that ALL of the brands were significantly less intensity than advertised, especially since most of them claim to deliver >100mW/cm^2. https://www.alexfergus.com/blog/what-red-light-therapy-panel-has-the-highest-power-output-let-s-find-out...

In just a few short weeks after launching the GembaRed Oomph Body-Light, we get this letter from Joovv that they have a "pending" patent on lights that can hang on walls and other generic mumbo-jumbo about light therapy lights. Well a patent isn't technically enforceable until it is actually granted, which would be very impressive if this super generic and sloppy patent would be approved. But I didn't get into this industry to fight with this type of negativity, so I am discontinuing the GembaRed Oomph Body-Light starting on December 30th. If this patent is approved and enforced, the only...

Can we use a red tactical flashlight for red light therapy? Can something so simple and affordable really be a clever biohack for photobiomodulation? Lets test it! We commonly see many popular brands selling what looks like fancy flashlights as red light therapy. Some even get FDA clearance or approval with some pretty impressive claims and specifications. We can also search for "red tactical flashlights" and "infrared tactical flashlights" and find these same wavelengths of 660nm or 850nm in a much more affordable format. These are commonly used for hunting, surveillance, or military. So this begs the question, can we...

Our GembaRed Wheel offers a great potential value for 660nm LEDs! You get a 5 meter strip with 300 LEDs and 60 Watts consumed power. However, that is all you get, just some LEDs on a strip! There is no plug, no adapter, nothing. Just some bare wires. So lets take a look at some possibilities to set it up. But first lets review the specifications. Since that informs us of what is compatible with. 12V LED strip. This is important because there are 5V, 9V, 12V, 24V and even more standard voltages for strips. So make sure your adapter...
